When it comes to achieving a confident smile, you probably know that braces come in many forms: traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, lingual braces, and invisible braces like Invisalign. Many Australians choose Invisalign because they are removable, discreet, and make it easier to talk, eat, and smile normally. But what you may not know is that Invisalign isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution either.
No two smiles are created equal. Some of our patients here at Sydney Road Dental Care come to us with very minor bite or alignment issues, which may take only a few months to correct. Others have more comprehensive issues, which may require multiple years of visits and aligners. Because of this, we offer different options when planning your Invisalign treatment.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the options you can choose from with Invisalign.
Invisalign Express:
If your teeth are mostly straight and only need a few small corrections, Invisalign treatment may only last a few months. Our Invisalign Express option includes 7 aligners, which are usually upgraded every two weeks depending on your progress.
Throughout your treatment, we may take scans and x-rays to gauge your progress and ensure you’re on track to your goals. All visits and procedures we perform during each visit are included in the price of the Express package.
At the end of your treatment, you will also receive upper and lower retainers and two at-home whitening treatments.
Invisalign Lite:
Patients with mild to moderate correction needs may save money by upgrading to the Invisalign Lite package, which includes twice the number of aligners (14 compared to 7) and doubles the duration of the treatment (6-12 months is our target range). This gives us more opportunities to make more precise adjustments and produce an optimal outcome.
As with the Express package, Invisalign Lite includes all in-office visits, scans, x-rays, retainers, and two teeth whitening treatments once the treatment is complete.
Invisalign Moderate:
The Invisalign Moderate package is a small increase in price compared to the Invisalign Lite package, but the treatment flexibility increases substantially. With Invisalign Moderate, patients will receive up to 26 custom aligners over the course of 1-2 years. This is the equivalent to receiving a new aligner every 2-4 weeks, depending on your level of progress. As the name suggests, this package is ideally suited for patients who require moderate corrections to their bite and alignment.
As with the Express and Lite packages, Invisalign Moderate includes all in-office visits, scans, and x-rays, as well as retainers and two teeth whitening treatments once the treatment is complete.
Invisalign Comprehensive:
Invisalign technology can help patients with more severe bite or alignment issues. However, the process generally takes several years and requires multiple aligners to achieve the best outcome. For these patients, we offer an Invisalign Comprehensive package.
Because more severe cases can vary widely between patients, the Invisalign Comprehensive package includes unlimited aligners over the course of five years. As with the other packages, all of your in-office visits, scans, and x-rays are included in the total cost.
