In fact, nothing touches your teeth and gums at all, during your entire clean! We know this sounds too good to be true, so we’ve tried and tested Airflow teeth cleaning ourselves – and are proud to be the very first dental practice in Manly to bring this incredible, state-of-the-art technology to our patients.
Here’s a quick overview of Airflow so you know how Airflow teeth cleaning works, what you can expect during your clean, who it’s suitable for, and how to book. We promise that once you’ve tried Airflow, you will never go back to a traditional dental clean again – and might even look forward to it!
Think dental spa, not just dental clean, and you’ll come close to the Airflow experience. Airflow teeth cleaning is the new, no-touch, no-pain way to clean your teeth. Ideal if you have a lot of painful sensitivity during a dental clean, Airflow teeth cleaning doesn’t use any traditional dental instruments.
Instead, the Airflow machine sprays a gentle flow of warm water, fine powder, and air onto each tooth, around and in between the gums and teeth. This exfoliating solution effortlessly removes stains and problem-causing plaque that can lead to cavities and gum disease.
The end result is sparkling, stain-free, and super-clean teeth, with absolutely no discomfort.
What happens during my Airflow dental clean?
Your Airflow dental clean involves applying a special dye to your teeth to see where the plaque is and then removing it all using Airflow.
Unlike some other dentists that combine Airflow with traditional hand-tool and ultrasonic cleaning, we use this technology for your entire clean, including tartar removal and to remove plaque from in between the teeth and below the gum line.
We have invested in Airflow’s special Perioflow and Piezon devices for hard-to-reach areas that would normally require hand tools, so you have optimum comfort from start to finish, and the best results.
You can learn more about the Airflow teeth cleaning process on our Cleaning & Hygiene page, where you’ll also find some useful Airflow FAQs and a link where you can watch a video of Airflow in action.
Can I have Airflow teeth cleaning if I have cosmetic dental implants or veneers?
Yes, you can still have Airflow teeth cleaning if you have had cosmetic dental treatments. It is a very gentle, non-invasive way to clean teeth that is perfectly safe and will not damage implants and veneers.
How much does Airflow teeth cleaning cost?
Airflow teeth cleaning costs $xx. You may be able to claim a rebate from your private health fund provider.
