Teeth Whitening

Your teeth are bound to become darker with age. However, that process can speed up if you’re smoking, drinking too much coffee, or taking medications containing chlorhexidine.

Regardless of the reason, teeth whitening products can bring your charming smile back. The whitening solutions penetrate deep into your teeth to break the discoloured molecules into smaller, non-noticeable particles. Modern whitening products do not damage your teeth.

Veneers

We are experts at repairing chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth by covering the defects with “high quality” tooth-colored composite resin. Teeth bonding will also be helpful if you have large, unsightly gaps between your teeth.

The best thing about teeth bonding is that it’s a simple, affordable process that typically happens in one visit. However If you have too many cracks and chips in your front teeth, teeth bonding can technically correct them, but it’d waste a lot of time. Alternatively, your dentist may suggest applying veneers.

Veneers are thin shells that cover only the front part of your teeth. When chosen properly, veneers can literally give you a new Hollywood Smile at a relatively reasonable cost. Keep in mind that if you do not want a “Hollywood Smile” we can design the veneers so that they are “naturally beautiful”. We do this by giving it a natural shape and reducing the whiteness of the colour. These results are the most popular as the smile blends in naturally with your face.

Invisalign

If you have a mild to moderate misalignment in your teeth, you don’t have to opt for unsightly braces. Your best bet here would be Invisalign.

Invisalign aligners come as clear trays that tightly fit your teeth. These aligners are designed in a special way that applies minor force to one or more of your teeth. With time, that force will straighten your teeth.

Unlike the conventional braces, you can take off your Invisalign tray to floss and brush your teeth, which protects you against the ugly white spots that appear after removing braces.

Our practice is a “Platinum provider” of invisalign so we’re very experienced in providing this for you.

Invisalign aligners are thin, discreet and comfortable.

Dental Crowns

Whereas veneers only mask the front part of your teeth. Crowns, on the contrary, cover the entire tooth from all directions. Your dentist will suggest using cosmetic crowns if:

  • Your teeth are too weak to support veneers.
  • You have extreme malalignment.
  • The discoloration is so dense that thin veneers can’t mask it.
  • Your teeth already have large filings.
  • You’ve recently had a root canal treatment.

Prepping for a crown starts by contouring your teeth and taking a scan or an impression. Often times we can mill the crown at the office and cement it on the same day. Otherwise, we will send you home with a temporary crown, and we will make you an appointment at a later date to issue the final crown.

Gum Contouring

Oftentimes, your gums may be the reason why you’re not confident with your smile. If you show too much gum when you smile or your gum line is uneven, your dentist may use a powerful laser to recontour your gum line. This is a common, painless and straightforward procedure.

If you show too little gum while smiling, your dentist will have to graft new tissue in the empty areas to even out your gum line. However, if your receded gum was caused by periodontal disease, your dentist will first have to treat the underlying cause. Otherwise, the grafted tissue won’t stay in place.

While the state and health of your teeth are absolutely essential, sometimes it’s the appearance of your teeth that is the reason you don’t smile. If you are self-conscious about a particular aesthetic element of your gums, teeth or bite, a cosmetic dentist might be able to help you smile with confidence again.
